From Now to Results Day: How to Feel On Top OF

Your GP Game

Every March, I find myself pausing. The year has just begun to gather momentum. Nothing feels rushed yet. And in front of us? Three quarters of the year—untouched, a blank slate full of possibility. So what has this to do with GP? A great deal.

Let me ask you two questions. How would you like to feel as you walk out of your exams at the end of the year? And more importantly, what do you want to be able to say to yourself on that day after your GP papers? It might feel early to think about this. But time has a way of slipping by quietly, and before you know it, results day arrives. For many of you, especially if you’re graduating, those results will shape the next chapter of your life.

Do you want to walk out of your A Levels feeling steady—knowing you gave it your best shot? That feeling is not reserved for a select few. It is built, step by step, over the months ahead.

But it starts with a decision. Start by getting honest about where you are right now. Where are the gaps? Is it essay writing—structuring arguments with clarity and depth? Or is it Paper 2 where you could respond with more precision and insight? When you identify the gaps early, you give yourself something powerful: time.

Eight months is a realistic runway. Enough to improve significantly—if you stay consistent and keep showing up, especially in your practice. And if JC1 went well for you, I’m genuinely happy to hear that. But don’t stop there.

If you’re aiming for a university you’ve always dreamed of—go all in. Don’t quietly talk yourself out of it. As someone who received a scholarship, I can tell you this: financial concerns should not be the reason you hold back from applying. Institutions are always looking for students who stand out.

If you are that student, they will find a way to support you. So shift the narrative. From “maybe this is not possible for me” to “what would it take to make this happen?” If you can see it clearly enough, you can begin building towards it. And you don’t have to do it alone. If you’re thinking about where to start, or you’re unsure how to close those gaps, reach out. I am just a message away.

To possibilities you might never have dared imagine.
