  • Structured Roadmap for JC1 & JC2 : JC1: Build foundations without feeling overwhelmed — thinking skills, content development, and structured writing.

    JC2: Targeted exam strategies, gap-plugging, and confidence building for the final stretch.

  • Small Groups, Real Participation : Classes are capped at 8 students. Everyone speaks. Everyone gets feedback.

  • Real-World, Relevant Examples: I use current global and local issues — not outdated notes. Students learn how to select, adapt, and apply examples effectively in essays and AQ.

About Me – Your Tutor

I’m Soo Sien.

Before teaching GP, I spent years working in a real newsroom — researching, interviewing experts, and presenting complex ideas clearly to the public.

Here’s my background:

  • Senior Producer-Presenter at Singapore’s national media network.

  • Master’s in Journalism (Distinction), University of the Arts London

  • MSc Geography & BSc Geography (King’s College, University of London)

  • Cambridge CELTA-certified English teacher

  • Over 19 years of teaching, mentoring, and coaching

  • Associate Trainer in Business Communications for healthcare professional

But more than credentials, I believe in this:

If you can think clearly and express yourself well, doors open.

That’s what I teach — calmly, firmly, and step by step.

When students join my class, I don’t just coach them academically. I guide them, challenge their thinking, and build their confidence especially when GP feels intimidating.

Class Format & Schedule

Weekly Online Sessions

  • 2 hours per week


  • Live, interactive (not lecture-style)

  • Discussions, guided practice, and real-time feedback

Separate JC1 & JC2 Classes

  • JC1: Mondays, 7–9pm

  • JC2: Wednesdays, 7–9pm

Class Size

  • Maximum 8 students per class

  • Practice questions aligned with the latest SEAB GP Syllabus (8881)

  • All work marked by me personally

I only run two small groups each year — one JC1 and one JC2 — because quality matters more than quantity.
